Therapy for Disabled or Ill Bodies.
Disabled bodies matter. Your body is your home and every home deserves love.
But it’s tough to find positive stories that aren’t about being “an inspiration” in mass media when it comes to disability. It seems everywhere you look for stories about disability you’ll find an overcoming the odds story or a struggle-story. But what about joy, family, love, and belonging? Where is the story about a great mixed-ability marriage? Where is the story about the disabled person who is also a great parent? Those stories are critical - so let’s talk about it.
And while we all need heroes to look up to, we also need to space to know we don’t have to be one!
Rooted in “Radical Body Acceptance” - I stand against ableism and fatphobia.
